Security Concerns
A new fence is up in the back side of the property. We have had some trouble keeping out vandals in recent months. Some people from the beach are taking tools and cleaning equipment from our warehouse and under the main building. So, our volunteers put up a nice barbed wire fence in the back (Paia side) of our property. We also repaired the broken barbed wire on the beach side. People who live on the beach and in the bushes are free to move around our sanctuary and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. And Rev. Yamaguchi stays inside of the barbed wire with his cleaning/working tools in his hand.
鉄条網に囲まれて
男の一人暮らしに慣れますと、特に身辺に怖いも
のは無いのですが、ひんぱんに物を盗まれるのに
は困っていました。 海辺の一等地に一人立派な
建物に暮らさせてもらっています分際で周辺のテ
ントや野宿の人たちを追い出す気持ちはまったく
無いのですが、私の一番大切な物 ー 掃除道具を
探しに海岸に出かけるのは時間の無駄です。 つ
いにお寺の後ろPAIA側にフェンスを立て、海岸側
の切れた鉄条網も直しました。 ボランティアの
有志の一日がかりの奉仕のおかげで、鉄条網に囲
まれた暮らしに成りました。 盗む人間ではな
く、盗まれる人間が鉄条網の中でこの寺報を書い
ています。
毎日快晴、雨待てども来らず。
